For those that want the ultimate in durability, performance and looks, this is it. This is a beautiful product with many features that make great horsepower and add durability. The block comes with the bore finished for the piston size you want to use. You can select a bore from 2.717" up to 3.1" The block kit includes everything you see in the picture including the 7 bolt billet side cover with an "O" ring to keep the oil in the crankcase. No paper gasket. It includes 2 ball bearings for the cam. also, 2 aluminum filler plates and flat head screws for the blower housing and 2 billet aluminum oil fill plugs.
If you want to add the recommended truly HEAVY DUTY CRANKSHAFT you can do so. The crankshaft has a 1.180" connecting rod journal rather than the more common 1" rod journal. The HD 4,5" billet connecting rod also has a 1.180" rod journal with replaceable bearing inserts and uses an 18mm (.709") HD wrist pin rather than the .490" wrist pin. Subsequently, the Billet piston uses an 18mm wrist pin also.
The deck height and piston compression height are matched so there is no need to machine either to achieve the proper piston pop up.
The bore and stroke can be made to meet the 14.5 Cubic Inch displacement rule or, for example, you may choose a 3.00 inch or 3.1" bore. The stroke is typically done with a 2.437" billet crank utilizing a much stronger 1.180" rod journal rather than a 1.00 inch rod journal. The billet pistons come with a much needed 18mm (.7086") wrist pin. The 4,5" long billet rod and billet piston create a matching piston pop up. In other words there is no need to machine the top of the piston or the block deck. It's already done for you.
