THE BREATHER BYPASS KIT Does not include valve cover.
It is used for engines that experience high rpms such as found in OPEN MOTORS, and HIGH "G" forces such as found in oval racing, 1/4 Midget racing and tracks with long continuous turns. It helps to prevent oil build up in the valve cover or overflow tank. If too much oil ends up in either of these there won't be enough in the crankcase to lubricate things like the crank and rod. Guess what happens then???
THE FACTORY PART IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM BRIGGS BUT I HAVE MY OWN SYSTEM AND IT'S MORE ROBUST THAT THE PREVIOUS VERSION
It has a fitting that goes into the side cover that has a ferrule to help keep the hose on, it has a metal fitting that goes into the valve cover. It has a HD braided hose and aviation style hose clamps. The Briggs kit didn't have any of these features!! Does not include valve cover. You must weld the metal fitting into your valve cover.
